The creation of the rain

It was a very hot day like others. It spent 6 days after the winter and the desert was drying more. People who live in the desert were suffering hunger and thirst. Also, the animals were dying very fast and food and water ran out. Every day many people were dying. But one day the sky god, Zeus, was watching the desert. He saw a beautiful peasant collecting wheat and when he saw her, he felt in love but the beatuful face was sad and Zeus wondered why that nice peasant was very sad and weak.

 

He observed the people for long days, specially the peasant. Every day she and other people became very thin and weak. The desert heat was so mortal, that people doesn’t came out of their houses for fear of death and Zeus felt that something was missing in that hot place and if he doesn’t occur something his beautiful peasant could die. The days passed and people were dying very fast. But then, Zeus went to visit the god of wisdom to find an answer. Following his short talk, the god told Zeus only a word: water.

First, Zeus didnt understood but then he realized it. He created the rain for the girl to cultivate. She was very happy, and all the people to. After that it started to rain more, the girl started to cultivating potatoes and carrots. When it finished, se sell them for a big price to European people because at that time, cultivation was not so common. Finally, the girl became millionare and they (Zeus and the girl) lived happilly in the world, in a very big house. And sometimes Zeus went to the Olympus to watch all the gods and ser if there was any problem.
