The Hurricane Allen: The power of destruction

The disaster started on July 31, 1980. Everything happened in a small town in Texas that soon became a ghost town and also was  destroyed by a terrible hurrican. The catastrophe took 7 lives and many houses,that wich cost 100 million dollars in repairs. Many people had to leave their homes and even their families for fear they had about of the hurricane. It was a day of disaster and suffering experienced by many people. We were lucky to be able to ask some questions to Amanda Hithock , a Texa's inhabitant.



-How did you recognized the hurricane was near you? What did you feel?



Well, I was cleaning the house when my dog started to bark strongly and minutes later, the floor began to tremble. I was very scared. when I went to get the dog inside I saw the biggest and terrible hurricane ever. My legs started to shake and I started to stammer  while I took  the dog and drove away from that horrible hurricane and my home. It was a horrible feeling that I wouldn't want to repeat.



- Were you near the hurricane?



Luckily, I was kilometers away from it, but I could see its big and cylindrical figure knocking everything in its way .



What happened when you were watching the catastrophe?



It pulled trees, cars and houses. And besides, it started raining uncontrollably and there were strong winds caused by the hurricane.



After that day, the town became a bleak town, like a hot desert. The hurricane exploded ( a non - identified device)  causing that the  fire consumed the houses quickly and ashes covered the most of the city as the sand covers the desert. The County police, firefighters and some volunteers helped to restore the town and although they could restored It, the town is not the same.

Para tenerle miedo

Este virus fue descubierta en 1976 por el Dr. David Fenkis cuando se presentaron varios casos de fiebre hemorrágica en algunos países africanos. Pero luego de haber desaparecido, volvió en el 2013 en África Occidental, por ejemplo, Guinea, Sierra Leona, Nigeria, Liberia y seguida a España y Estados Unidos.

El Ébola es un virus mortal, donde sus síntomas son muy peligrosas. Por ejemplo:
- Fiebre repentinamente
- Debilidad extrema
- Dolores de cabeza
-Perdida de apetito
Es por eso que para no contagiarse de uno que posee el virus, para su bien,  debera minimicar el contacto con la "victima". Para eso deberá seguir estos pasos para mantenerse seguro y para mantener segura a su familia:
- Lavar sus manos con agua y jabon luego de haber tocado al paciente contagiado
-No tocar a una persona fallecida por el Ébola, ya que es altamente contagioso
- Separar al enfermo del resto de la familia para evitar contagios.

The creation of the rain

It was a very hot day like others. It spent 6 days after the winter and the desert was drying more. People who live in the desert were suffering hunger and thirst. Also, the animals were dying very fast and food and water ran out. Every day many people were dying. But one day the sky god, Zeus, was watching the desert. He saw a beautiful peasant collecting wheat and when he saw her, he felt in love but the beatuful face was sad and Zeus wondered why that nice peasant was very sad and weak.

 

He observed the people for long days, specially the peasant. Every day she and other people became very thin and weak. The desert heat was so mortal, that people doesn’t came out of their houses for fear of death and Zeus felt that something was missing in that hot place and if he doesn’t occur something his beautiful peasant could die. The days passed and people were dying very fast. But then, Zeus went to visit the god of wisdom to find an answer. Following his short talk, the god told Zeus only a word: water.

First, Zeus didnt understood but then he realized it. He created the rain for the girl to cultivate. She was very happy, and all the people to. After that it started to rain more, the girl started to cultivating potatoes and carrots. When it finished, se sell them for a big price to European people because at that time, cultivation was not so common. Finally, the girl became millionare and they (Zeus and the girl) lived happilly in the world, in a very big house. And sometimes Zeus went to the Olympus to watch all the gods and ser if there was any problem.

La Materia y todos sus conceptos

Con todo lo que aprendimos acerca de ¿Qué es la materia? Realizamos un póster, con todos sus conceptos, donde lo colocamos en la pared de nuestro salón y que nuevamente creamos uno pero esta vez en la computadora.

Bacteria que mata

Este síndrome es la consecuencia de toxinas bacterianas que producen lesiones en los vasos sanguíneos que afecta, principalmente, al riñón. Este síndrome es más común en los niños ya que el cuerpo de  estos  no tienen tantas defensas contra esta bacteria  a comparación de los adultos. Esto pasa frecuentemente después de ingerir, por ejemplo, carne cruda donde allí se encuentra la bacteria.
